Why People Book Multiple Boudoir Sessions | San Diego Boudoir Photographer
People often come in for their first session thinking, “this is it. my first & only boudoir session.”
Why? Because it’s something a lot of people have to work up the courage to do. Like it’s a “bucket list” item. What surprises people the most isn’t just that they loved hundred and hundreds of photos, or that they left feeling amazing, or that the entire process was easier than they thought it would be. It’s that they want to do it again…and again.
And I think it’s because eventually you realize the photos were never really the point.
You change.
Your body changes. Your relationships change. Your confidence changes. Your hair changes. Your style changes. Your life changes.
This is emily. I first worked with her in 2022. This was her first session with me. A white sheet mini session. only 30 minutes. no lingerie. just a white sheet and a trust fall.
Then, I worked with her again in 2023. Twice in 2024. Once in 2025. And just recently this year. This was her SIXTH shoot with me.

People book again and again because the photos were never really the point.
You change.
Your body changes. Your relationships change. Your confidence changes. Your hair changes. Your style changes. Your life changes.
Sometimes you come back because you’re celebrating something.
Sometimes you’ve survived something.
Sometimes you’re deeply in love.
Sometimes you just got divorced.
Sometimes you feel the best you’ve ever felt.
Sometimes you absolutely fucking don’t — and you want to find your way back to yourself.
And sometimes nothing monumental has happened at all.
You just want to do it again.
Because the woman who walks into my studio today isn’t the same woman I photographed three years ago.
And I don’t want her to be.
I have clients I’ve had the privilege of photographing through completely different chapters of their lives, and every session tells me something new about who they are right now.
Different energy. Different confidence. Different vulnerability. Different photographs.
Your first boudoir session doesn’t have to be your only evidence that you existed beautifully in your body.
You are allowed to document yourself more than once.
Not because you finally lost the weight.
Not because you found a partner.
Not because you reached some magical version of yourself worthy of being photographed.
Just because you’re here.
And someday, having photographs of all those different women you got to be?
I think that’s going to be pretty fucking special.
